Our commercial demo program is extremely popular with dealers around the world. Here’s how it works:
- Present the gplink products to your prospects.
- Contact gplink with details of the fleet and request the demo form
- Have appropriate personnel from your clients’ fleet complete the paperwork
- Install units aboard demo vessel
- After 90 days, your client either pays for the hardware and first year of service or you remove the units and return the hardware to gplink.
This is all done at no cost to your customer, and we’ve found that gplink sells itself in almost every case.

Statue Cruises Strives for Fuel Savings
Statue Cruises is the National Parks’ provider for ferry service to Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty. They have a total of 12 vessels in their fleet which carry around 4.2 million passengers across New York Harbor annually.
After learning about gplink from Ron Lisoski at Foley Cat, Statue Cruises decided to install the product on Miss Freedom, one of the ferry boats in their fleet.
Statue Cruises was looking for ways to better control servicing times for different ferry docks. By using gplink, they anticipate saving thousands of dollars on fuel annually fleet-wide by controlling the use of engines and monitoring operating habits. They have numerous fleets in North America which will likely also be monitored by gplink in the future.

The NY Waterway ferry system recently completed gplink installations aboard two of their vessels, the Abraham Lincoln and the John Stevens. This ferry system services all of New York City, including Manhattan, and has carried over 65 million passengers since 1986.
Shortly after the gplink installation aboard the Abraham Lincoln was completed an abnormal fuel consumption reading was noticed on its port engine. Other engine readings indicated an overloaded condition. The Port Engineer, Ralph, decided to drydock the vessel for an inspection.

The New York Waterway System services all of the New York City area, including Manhattan. Short and long runs, from 65 miles north of the city to 45 miles south of the city, are also available. Since 1986, the NY Waterway has carried over 65 million passengers.

Robert, Just wanted to touch base with you after having GPLINK onboard the 68′ Hatteras, Gulf Rascal for the last 6 months. I can’t tell you how happy we are with the system and the service. For me, my boss and anyone else we choose, to be able to constantly monitor the systems and movements of the vessel is truly amazing. On more than one occasion you have personally called my cell phone to advise me of an alarm. Once, while in the boatyard in Puerto Rico, you advised us of AC power loss. Your heads up to me on that problem saved us literally thousands of dollars in spoiled meat and bait. That one incident alone paid for the install and the service. Certainly use me as a reference in the future to recommend GPLINK. Hats off to you and the GPLINK team. I’m looking forward to future enhancements and our use of your system.
Best regards, Capt. Billy Borer

In addition to the current list of custom and production sport fishing boats currently using the gplink service, we are proud to announce the addition of the Jarrett Bay sportfish, Waste Knot to the gplink fleet. The 67 ft, custom North Carolina built sportfish has been very active in fishing tournaments from North Carolina to Florida and Mexico – most recently winning the 2010 North Carolina Governor’s Cup.
The gplink system has been well received within this community of boat owners to help track fuel usage and to help spot potential problems before a big tournament or trip. With the gplink system, owners can track the current location of their yacht before traveling to join the crew and fish the tournament. As word spreads on the docks, we look forward to the profile gplink can add to the top tournament battlewagons.

As we progress the gplink service we’re hoping to bring you periodic information on noteworthy yachts and installations we make from time to time. A few weeks ago we completed a full monitoring installation on the 60′ Ritchie Howell, Canyon Runner, a tournament-proven custom sportfish yacht.
In addition to the core satellite tracking and engine monitoring, she receieved a full compliment of RF sensors which will provide status reports and alarm notifications for smoke, AC power & bilge water levels. These sensor units are designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, and require infrequent periodic maintenance.

The gplink system has also been installed on the 62′ Ritchie Howell, Volatility. These discerning owners have recognized the value of monitoring their boats’ location and critical systems, and we wish them luck and tight lines!

As we approach the initial gplink debut at the Miami Boat Show, we’re pleased to announce the installation and addition of our tracking systems to several more yachts up and down the Eastern seaboard.
It is our hope to have a veritable fleet of gplink installs to demo to Hatteras Collection owners in Miami, as we have seized on the opportunity to install the system on several 68′ Hatteras Convertibles, in addition to the initial 60′ Motoryacht installation. It’s our intention to have several boats fishing the Gulf Stream, showcasing the tracking & engine data capabilities while we present our service to Hatteras executives and prospects back at the Show docks.
We’re very excited about the quick progress of the service and our ability to showcase our technologies to the marine industry. See you in Miami!
