Every gplink kit equipped with bilge, smoke & alarm system components now includes an international adapter, which is set up for simple installation of your RF kit around the globe.
You don’t need to do anything special when you order a kit outside of the United States – it’s plug and play just like it’s always been. There are no other components which require additional consideration when installing internationally; the gplink boxes hook up to an uninterrupted power source.
Commercial vessel kits, which do not have the RF kit, are ready to install.

Our commercial demo program is extremely popular with dealers around the world. Here’s how it works:
- Present the gplink products to your prospects.
- Contact gplink with details of the fleet and request the demo form
- Have appropriate personnel from your clients’ fleet complete the paperwork
- Install units aboard demo vessel
- After 90 days, your client either pays for the hardware and first year of service or you remove the units and return the hardware to gplink.
This is all done at no cost to your customer, and we’ve found that gplink sells itself in almost every case.

gplink’s tracking and monitoring systems for Cat® powered vessels play a significant role in helping fleets to optimize energy consumption, lower operational costs and meet sustainability objectives for reduced carbon emissions.
gplink provides a blend of hardware, software, content and expertise to enable efficient resource management and support both voluntary and mandatory carbon reporting. We get asked all the time how big the gplink box is. The gplink box is a tiny workhorse, with a footprint of less than 9” x 4” x 3” and one box located near each engine.
All gplink units need to be hooked to a continuous power source by a certified gplink installer, and are easily identifiable by the black, yellow & white gplink emblem on the box.

gplink is proud to announce the development of collision & incident reporting. While still in its infancy, it will work like this:
Your gplink unit will take a snapshot numerous times each minute of significant shipboard data. In the event of a collision, the box will instantly upload a detailed report of engine codes (such as gear position, speed, rpms and other information) which will assist in determining the root cause of the incident.

Did you know that there’s an almost unlimited potential for security features which can be hooked into your gplink system?
The gplink system is capable of interfacing with up to 4 total onboard systems (one of these must be the RF receiver).
This means you can use the bilge and smoke alarms that come as part of the standard kit and still interface with your existing security system. If you interface with your shipboard security system you will then receive alerts anytime there is a security breach. If on-board, you can consult your control panel to identify the specific troubled area. If you are not on-board you will know there is an issue and need to send someone to look into it.

So you are ready to sell your vessel and questioning the value of your gplink, eh? Even if gplink never had the chance to save your vessel from sinking, alert during a fire or help track your way back to the hookup of that prize-winning billfish, you are about to see gplink earn its stripes.
How? Your account maintains engine history for up to seven years when you have gplink aboard. All the engine data that you receive in your monthly statements makes a fantastic “you should up my trade-in value” argument at resale time, or “here’s how great of a vessel she is” if you are selling yourself.
